  • Meet Spikey

    Welcome to Spikey, where safety meets innovation. We are dedicated to providing a simple yet effective solution to help protect against drink spiking. Our mission is to empower individuals with a quick and reliable way to detect common date rape drugs, ensuring peace of mind during social outings.

  • An idea was born..

    Spikey was designed over the summer when 15-year-old Abigail Goddard came across the story of Greg Mackie, an 18-year old boy in the UK who died due to drink spiking. Determined to come up with a solution to drink spiking to protect herself and her loved ones, especially at college, Abigail formed a passionate team at UC Berkeley. Together, the diverse team researched existing drink spike products and decided to build upon existing test strips by designing them in a more discreet, aesthetically pleasing way. After extensive research and partnering with a major pharmaceutical company, Spikey was formed.

Abigail Goddard

As a founder and the CEO of Spikey, Abigail started the company after learning about the devastating effects of drink spiking on her friends and family. Her goal is to make social environments safer through discreet and reliable drink detection tools.

When she's not working on Spikey, you’ll find her exploring her creative side making movies and playing the piano!
