FAQ

What can a Spikey do?

Spikey test strips can detect if a drink has been spiked with common date-rape drugs such as GHB (gamma-hydroxybutyrate), Ketamine, Scopolamine, Cocaine, and many other amine-based drugs.

We are patent pending.

By fostering open discussions and providing a space for education and healing, we hope to empower individuals to stay informed, look out for one another, and drive meaningful change. Stay safe with Spikey.

How does it work?

The keychain contains chemically designed litmus test strips that change color when exposed to certain substances used to spike drinks. For instructions, refer to the steps above.

The strips were developed by a leading pharmaceutical company and have been tested by numerous laboratories: the Clinical Trials Laboratory Services (CTLS) and the University of Strathclyde. As of June 2024, further validation tests have been carried out by Lucideon, UK.

Who should use a Spikey?

Anyone concerned about drink safety, particularly in social settings like bars, clubs, or parties. Drink spiking is a much larger problem than often acknowledged. It's a serious issue that can affect anyone, leading to dangerous situations including theft, assault, and serious health risks as an aftermath.

Keep your friends close, your Spikey closer, and your drink closest!

What should I do if my drink was spiked?

Whatever you do, do not ignore your situation because you feel embarrassed. If you are still able, test your drink with a Spikey.

If you can, try and keep your drink with you. This could be used as evidence with law enforcement if you decide to press charges against your offender. Alert the police immediately and get to safety.

Do you ship internationally?

Currently, we only ship within the U.S. and do not offer international shipping at this time. However, we are looking to expand our reach to other countries. Subscribe to our emails to stay tuned!
