The keychain contains chemically designed litmus test strips that change color when exposed to certain substances used to spike drinks. For instructions, refer to the steps above.

The strips were developed by a leading pharmaceutical company and have been tested by numerous laboratories: the Clinical Trials Laboratory Services (CTLS) and the University of Strathclyde. As of June 2024, further validation tests have been carried out by Lucideon, UK.

It's a serious issue that can affect anyone, leading to dangerous situations including theft, assault, and serious health risks as an aftermath.

If you can, try and keep your drink with you. This could be used as evidence with law enforcement if you decide to press charges against your offender. Alert the police immediately and get to safety.

Spikey™ tests for minimal standard dosages of Ketamine, Cocaine, Scopolamine, and GHB (gammahydroxybutyrate) in drinks. Smaller quantities may not be detected. Follow instructions exactly. Do not place the test in a drink. Some substances, such as those that are dark red in color or milk-based, may produce a false positive. Bitter lemon and lime cordial will produce a false negative.  A drink producing a negative result could still be unsafe as it may contain dangerous substances other than those tested for. If in doubt, do not consume your drink. Store away from children, animals, chemicals, and moisture. The manufacturer makes no representations or warranties, except as expressly stated above, and cannot be held responsible if you leave your drink unattended or for the presence of any substances not detected by this test strip, and excludes all liability for consequential and other losses to the extent permitted by law.
